By-election advanced polling days

Advance voting begins in the three federal by-elections today. Voters in Beaches–East York, Ont., Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, Que., and North Vancouver–Capilano, B.C., can vote at their assigned advance polling station on Aug. 21, 22, 23 and 24. Details are available online.

Coalition to hold nationwide rallies over immigration processing delays

The National PR/Permit/Visa Applicants Coalition will hold rallies across Canada to call for fairness, transparency and accountability in Canada’s immigration security screening process. Demonstrations are planned in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and other cities.
