Governor General will be marking the 95th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge

Governor General David Johnston and Sharon Johnston will travel to France to take part in special events commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. They will take part in a ceremony at the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial in the presence of thousands of young Canadians. Johnston will deliver a speech. Call 613-998-7280.

Government of Canada to Mark 95th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge

Governor General David Johnston and Veterans Affairs Minister Steven Blaney (Levis-Bellechasse, QC) will participate in a commemorative ceremony at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, in France, to mark the 95th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
