Minister Champagne to attend G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

Foreign Affairs Minister François-Philippe Champagne (Saint-Maurice–Champlain, Que.) will attend the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Nagoya, Japan, from Nov. 22–23. He will participate in discussions related to free trade and global governance, the Sustainable Development Goals, and support for Africa. G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (Papineau, Que.) is expected to join leaders of the G20 in Osaka, Japan, for the G20 summit. Along with the leaders’ summit, the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors’ meeting, the foreign ministers’ meeting, and other ministerial meetings will also be held at eight different locations throughout Japan this year.

Minister Bibeau to attend agriculture ministers meeting

Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau (Compton-Stanstead, Que.) will participate in the G20 Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting in Niigata, Japan, from May 11-12. Minister Philpott to take part in the G7 Health Ministers’ Meeting in Japan

Health Minister Jane Philpott (Markham-Stouffville, Ont.) will participate in the G7 Health Ministers’ Meeting. She will be joined by Dr. Gregory Taylor, Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, and officials from Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
