Parliament Institution: Senate

Bill C-14, An Act to implement certain provisions of the economic statement tabled in Parliament on November 30, 2020 and other measures, was introduced and read a first time. The bill was debated at second reading, read a second time and referred to the Standing Senate Committee on National Finance. 

The  Senate Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs presented its fifth report, Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Judges Act and the Criminal Code, without amendment but with observations.

Bill S-227, An Act respecting a National Ribbon Skirt Day, was debated at second reading.

Bill S-216, An Act to enact the Modern Slavery Act and to amend the Customs Tariff, was debated at second reading, was read a second time and was referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce.
